Chastity Bono, child of pop icons Cher and the late Sonny Bono, has announced plans to transition from female to male. A press statement now refers to Chastity as Chaz. For more click the link below.

A few weeks ago Theresa Garza-Ruiz announced she will seek re-election to The Jackson County Legislature. She currently holds the First District At-Large Seat and is running to retain her position. Same-sex unions have been on the political radar in the United States since the Hawaii Supreme Court ruled in 1993 that denying licenses to same-sex partners violated the Hawaii constitution unless there is a "compelling state interest."
