AP news analysis warns Republicans against depending on gay wedge issue to get voters to the polls
  The AP reports the push to ban unmarried couples from fostering or adopting children may not pay off for Republicans in Arkansas the way a successful gay marriage ban did in 2004. The head of the Arkansas Family Council, which is trying to get the measure aimed at banning gays and lesbians from fostering or adopting children, admits the low level of interest.

Gay protestors picket Obama rally
  A Grammy-winning singer whose role in a Barack Obama campaign event riled gay activists served as master of ceremonies of a gospel concert promoting the Democratic presidential hopeful Sunday night. Donnie McClurkin, who has angered gay rights groups by saying homosexuality is a choice, told the crowd the musical acts were there "in the name of unity" and "in the name of change." McClurkin's presence created a rift as gay and lesbian activists tried to force Obama to boot the singer from the lineup.

Woman ordered to stop spreading hate on Internet
  A Canadian Human Rights Tribunal has ordered a Calgary woman to stop posting hate messages against minority groups on a U.S.-based white supremacist website. The commission fined Jessica Beaumont $1,500 for posting messages that hold Jews, gays, lesbians, Chinese, blacks, aboriginals and other non-whites up for hatred or contempt.

Utah family hangs in balance
  Gregg Valdez's care of his niece's four kids is threatened by an anti-gay state law that bans cohabiting adults from becoming foster or adoptive parents.

U.S. psychologists favor marriage equality
  The American Psychological Association, the largest association of psychologists in the United States, said it will take a leadership role to help repeal laws that make marriage for gay couples illegal. The group said the fact that gay couples can't marry could psychologically harm the couples and their relationships.
